Jaime graduated from London Contemporary Dance School in 2018, where he performed works by Theo Clinkard, James Cousins, Xin Xin Song, and Hofesh Schecter; as well as taught through The Place Center of Advance Training. Jaime Trained in Cunningham, Release Technique, Action Theatre, Gaga, Flying-Low, and Contact Improvisation; all which heavily inspire his own practices. Currently Jaime is performing for San Diego Dance Theatre, Eric Geiger, and Krista Kaye Nelson. Jaime believes in sharing his experiences in order for others to have their own. Utilising a “play” method of research to develop a common language, trust and form community. Currently a teaching artist for the San Diego Dance Theatre School, Transendance Youth Arts Project, and a Step Beyond. From the get-go Jaime was interested in the process of making and sharing. Seeing each dance as an individual with its own needs, truths, fictions, and circumstances. He has shown his work at The Place’s Robin Howard Theatre in London, ArtPowers New Adventurers, SDSU’s Make it Concert, CECUT in Mexico, Saville Theatre, and Whitebox. Jaime began dancing at the age of 19 through San Diego City College and is forever grateful for the guidance and endless support from the faculty for helping him shape the path and human he has taken on.
