Amanda Buzzellis thrilled to be working with transcenDANCE. Amanda’s role as Program Administrator covers many different administrative facets of the organization including general program support, marketing, grant-writing and producing responsibilities for the Summer Performance Program. Amanda comes to transcenDANCE with a well-rounded background in theatre administration. She has held positions in various artistic and administrative capacities at La Jolla Playhouse and The Old Globe Theatre here in San Diego. In addition, she spent time overseas leading the programs and marketing for USO Japan and served as the Marketing Director for Davenport Theatrical Enterprises in New York City for several years. Amanda holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from The University of Oklahoma and a M.S. in Arts Administration from Drexel University. When not at transcenDANCE or ARTS, she serves as the Programming Chair for the San Diego Rising Arts Leaders, teaches early childhood music at Nightingale Music School, mentors high school music students, and takes jazz and tap dance with the San Diego Civic Dance Arts Program. She resides in Ocean Beach with her husband, Jordan and her dog, Carmen.
