Originally fromBaltimore, Maryland, Talia earned a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies at the University of Vermont and pursuedinternational educational experience in Haifa, Israel and Copenhagen, Denmark. Talia earned a M.A. from AlliantInternational University in Marriage and Family Therapy (MA, MFT, 2010), interned at the Center for Grief Care andEducation at San Diego Hospice, and trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy at the Alliant Couple & Family Clinic.

Talia has extensive private practice and non-profit experience working with youth, couples, and families who haveexperienced relationship challenges, trauma, grief and loss, developmental and intellectual disabilities, as well as addictionand recovery from substance use disorders.  As a former dancer and current artist, Talia finds that interventions such as music, art, dance, and movement allow alternative opportunities for therapeutic self-expression.  Most recently, Talia found away to incorporate her belief in the power of creative expression with her experience in the mental health field by launchingHealing Spaces Design, a business providing interior design consultation for therapeutic settings.

Talia’s newest endeavor has been in program development and improving mental health systems of care, in response togaps in service and the increasing need to support local communities that go under-served.
