Samantha Pankow

Samantha Pankow- Expressive Arts Therapist

Samantha began her love of music long before her feet could reach the pedals on the piano and had grown up dedicated to the craft of being a musician.  Born and raised in Pasadena, CA. she was heavily involved in everything music from solo performances to various classical group ensemble, touring through Europe as well as jamming in African percussion groups.  During her undergrad work at Chapman University she yearned for a more interactive setting to share the benefits of music making and discovered Music Therapy.  While following her passion for travel, Samantha found herself in Boston, MA. to further expand her quest to become more of service in the therapeutic arts, thus obtaining her graduate degree in expressive therapies at Lesley University.  Upon completing her Master’s, she worked with various populations from complex-blended families in crisis/trauma to elderly touched by Alzheimer’s/Dementia.  Though enjoying her time on the East Coast, Samantha felt the pull of family and sunshine, and moving back to the West Coast.  Now a mental health counselor utilizing the arts in order to serve those in the community at ARTS and TranscenDANCE
