Seiha Vor, Teaching Artist / Choreographer
Seiha Vor is an educator at King Chavez Preparatory Academy, a middle school located within the Historic Barrio District and Downtown neighborhoods of San Diego. Seiha received the Chunky Ramon Sanchez nominee in 2017 and won the Staff of The Year in 2019. Seiha joined the transcenDANCE CREATE program at the age of 16. Joining transcenDANCE was a big part of his life, it helped him grow as a person, as a dancer, and as a teacher. He created a team called the Dance Geekz that serves 6th through 12th grades giving students an opportunity to do community performances. He loves continuing to be a part of transcenDANCE as a lead teaching artist and mentor, helping with a variety of projects and choreography. Overall, it is a blessing to come across with transcenDANCE Youth Arts Project he says,” I feel like I wake up to go to rehearsal instead of work, and the stage is the world.”
