Rebecca Bellingham Playwright / Literary Artist
Rebecca Bellingham is a teacher, literacy consultant, college instructor, and performer. She began her career as teaching artist working at elementary schools in the South Bronx with nationally recognized community arts organization Dreamyard. She went on to teach at The Berkeley Carroll School in Park Slope, where she was a 4th grade teacher and Literacy Specialist. After receiving a masters degree in Literacy Specialization at Columbia University Teachers College, Rebecca began working at Teachers College Reading and Writing Project as a staff developer and later as a full time instructor in the Literacy Specialist Program. Rebecca is also an actress and has performed in numerous off-broadway and regional theaters around the country, most recently in October Sky at the Old Globe in San Diego, California.
