Yahairah Aristy has been a Deputy Public Defender in the County of San Diego since 2005. Prior to that, she was a policy and program support analyst for Health and Human Services – Child Welfare Services for the County of San Diego. She has her JD and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. She is active in her legal community. She is the secretary for the Earl B. Gillam Bar Foundation. Yahairah is a member of Lawyers Club of San Diego, where she is a co-chair for the Law Student Outreach Committee, the liaison to the Ethnic Relations and Diversity Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association, and the secretary for the Women’s Advocacy Committee. She is also member of California Women’s Lawyer, where she serves on the the Annual Conference committee and is a coach for the Lincoln High School Mock Trial team.
